Palmpsest Installation, 2009, The Cleveland Institute of Art Reinberger Gallery. Photographs on plexi glass, printed text on various papers and boards, wall text, glass shelf
In 2009, after leading a PhotoWalk through Cleveland's historic Flats District, Toles and Hulick created an installation of the photographs Toles shot and the history both uncovered. The installation was named Palimpsest, the word that describes a surface that is reused or altered but still bearing visible traces of its earlier form.
